UK guide

This region, incredibly diverse in landscape, includes high mountains, lakes, rivers, and forests. The national park was created on this territory in 2002. It is located on a vast expanse - from the southern tip of Loch Lomond and the settlements of Tindrum and Killeen in Perthshire in the north to Callander and Loch Fyne fjord in the east.

Long before the trip, many tourists book a car in the United Kingdom online to get a favorable rental rate, see more attractions and not depend on tour groups. In Edinburgh Airport the cost of a compact class car starts from 15 euros per day, in Manchester the cost is about the same - from 14 euros per day.

Less than a mile from the southwestern tip of the Isle of Mull, the holy island of Iona rises from the clear blue waters of the sea. It was here that in 563 St. Columba made a stop after fleeing from Ireland. A monastery was built on the island, and the monks began to convert the pagans of Scotland and Northern England to the new faith. They adhered to the Celtic interpretation of Christianity.

Culross, a well-preserved 17th-century town,
was once an important port of trade with the plains. The coal mining industry also developed here. This colorful settlement stands right at the water's edge. The Scottish National Society for the Preservation of Historic Monuments has carried out a remarkable restoration here.

The Glencoe Valley is "guarded" by a mountain range called the "Three Sisters".
You can get here through the desert uplands of Rannock Moor. In Scotland, the valley of Glencoe is the most impressive. It stretches to the JTox-Leuven sea bay on the west coast. This amazing place is hidden among the rocky peaks, peaked cliffs, the rocky slopes of which are strewn with rough rubble and rock fragments.

The Olympic Games, one of the most popular sporting events
(the next summer games will be held in London in 2012), originated more than 2000 years ago in Ancient Greece. In the Gallery of Greek and Roman Antiquities of the British Museum, some objects, including jugs, statues and friezes, are decorated with scenes from the Olympic Games, showing how similar they were to modern games and how very different from them.
