London City Airport sits in the Royal Docks, a few miles east of Canary Wharf. It serves business trips into the capital, and a hire car here makes most sense for journeys out to Essex, Kent or beyond the M25.
Avis, Hertz and Sixt are based on Hartmann Road, the airport's own approach road, a few minutes from the terminal. Other suppliers work from branches in Docklands, Barking and Thamesmead, so check whether your offer is at the airport or elsewhere in east London before you book. If you're travelling with heavy luggage, an airport-based desk is the simplest option.
